Phuket - A Glance

Phuket has an unexpected side, one that can be missed even when it is right in front of you. Giant dragons, hidden houses (with territorial dogs) and a strong local culture that holds its ground against the touristic facade are only the beginning.

Also - if it hadn't been for Michelle's (pictured) years of experience with dogs, I would likely be nursing some puncture wounds and cursing Phuket Town altogether. It was impressive.

Ideals

- Howard Roark from The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand

I really enjoy the basics of Rand's Objectivism. Detractors cite the hollowness of her main character (Roark) and the unrealistic portrayal of her philosophy. I say it is a novel and an illustration, one must go to extremes to set an example and deliver a message. Set the bar at its highest rung, in trying to reach it, we shall better ourselves.
